The puppies are officially three weeks old! This week marks the beginning of the crucial “Transitional Period.” During this exciting phase, we intentionally introduce a brand-new item and a unique sensory experience every single day. We start with large, soft toys and gradually transition to smaller ones as they begin biting, mouthing, and actively exploring the world around them!

Introducing the Litter Box & Potty Area

We officially introduced the litter box to the puppies! We do this by placing a puppy pad holder right next to their sleeping area. This teaches them early on to distinguish between a clean space (where they sleep) and a dirty space (where they potty)—a core concept of The Puppy Potty Training Triangle. Introducing this early sets a strong foundation and makes potty training much easier once they go home!

Development & Care Updates

They are starting to regulate their own body temperature and they will be having their first bath! They are finding their voices, and we are enjoying hearing the new little yips, grunts, and barks.

They are still learning to walk, so we are very careful to only put them on surfaces that they can grip and not slide on.

Nail clipping is also in full swing and is going great! 💅
