Our Policies & Puppy Care Standards
At Taylormade Mini Goldens, we are a family-run, purpose-driven breeding program focused on raising healthy, confident, well-socialized puppies who become beloved companions, therapy dogs, and service prospects.
We believe transparency builds trust — and at the same time, we protect our families, our puppies, and our clients through clear, fair policies.
Below is an overview of how our program works.
Our Breeding & Puppy Care Standards
Every Taylormade puppy is raised with intention and care from the moment they are born.
Our parent dogs are:
Health tested
Well cared for
Carefully paired for temperament and genetic compatibility
Our puppies are:
Raised in a loving home and kennel environment
Socialized to people, children, sounds, handling, and everyday life
Exposed to early neurological stimulation
Introduced to crates and basic routines
Sent home with age-appropriate veterinary care and records.
We make every effort to provide accurate information about each puppy’s estimated size, temperament, and appearance — while recognizing that living beings grow and develop uniquely.
Planning & Litter Availability
We plan our litters carefully, but nature is not a machine.
While we do everything possible to meet projected timelines, factors such as heat cycles, fertility, and puppy health can affect breeding plans. If a planned litter changes, families with reservations are always given options to move to another suitable litter.
We cannot guarantee:
Size
Color
Coat type
Gender
We will always help guide families toward the best possible match.
Administration Fee & Reservations
To begin the adoption process, families place a non-refundable Administration Fee.
This fee:
Secures one puppy or one waitlist position
Covers time, planning, staff labor, puppy care, and administrative costs
Is applied toward the total cost of your puppy
Administration Fees allow us to responsibly plan veterinary care, staffing, training, and placement for each litter.
Specific timing, payment schedules, and reservation details are reviewed with each approved family as part of their private adoption agreement.
Choosing Your Puppy
Families are invited to choose from available puppies when their turn arrives.
Once a puppy is selected, it is reserved specifically for that family. If a family later decides to pursue a different puppy or litter, we will always try to help when possible, but availability, timing, and pricing may vary.
Nutrition Philosophy
We believe nutrition plays a major role in a dog’s long-term health.
We raise our puppies on a premium holistic diet and provide families with guidance to help minimize digestive upset during the transition to their new homes.
We encourage families to continue feeding high-quality nutrition and are happy to provide support and recommendations.
Health Guarantee Overview
Our puppies are backed by a health guarantee covering serious hereditary conditions.
Every puppy leaves us:
Vet checked
Dewormed
With medical records
If a licensed veterinarian determines that a puppy has a serious genetic condition within the covered period, families may be eligible for replacement or refund under the terms of their adoption agreement.
Routine veterinary care, parasites, injuries, and non-life-threatening conditions are part of normal pet ownership and are the responsibility of the puppy’s family.
Full health guarantee terms are provided in the private contract issued after application approval.
Returns & Rehoming
We stand behind every puppy we produce.
If at any time a family cannot keep their dog, Taylormade Mini Goldens will always accept the puppy back or assist with safe rehoming. We never want one of our dogs to end up in a shelter.
We handle returns and rehoming with compassion, dignity, and care for both the dog and the family.
Shipping & Travel
We offer safe puppy travel options when families are unable to pick up in person.
Travel timing depends on:
Puppy health
Weather
Veterinary clearance
Airline and nanny availability
We always prioritize the puppy’s well-being over rigid schedules.
Adoption Agreement
All approved families receive a detailed adoption contract that outlines:
Health coverage
Payment terms
Care expectations
Rehoming policies
Legal protections for both parties
This contract is reviewed and signed before a puppy goes home.
Our Promise
We are not a volume breeder.
We are a family-run program that believes dogs deserve:
Stability
Health
Love
Lifetime responsibility
When you bring home a Taylormade puppy, you become part of our extended family — and we are here for you every step of the way.
