Shedding: Huxley is moderate shedding, he has one copy of the low shed gene “T” and one copy of the heavy shedding gene “C” (CT) for his coat. He sheds much less seasonally than our standard Golden Retrievers. We were surprised by his shedding results because his coat looks and feels like the lower shedding (TT) type.
Health testing: he is tested to CHIC standards; Embark vet DNA profile, PennHip, OFA eyes, heart, patellas, elbows, and hips.
Personality: Huxley is the happiest dog and loves all of our other dogs, family, and friends. He exuberates complete joy. Huxley is truly an absolute lover boy who brings so much happiness to our lives. He showers us, expecially our children with affection and warmth that is truly irresistible. His tiny frame, paired with his adorable and charming personality, make him an exceptional and beloved member of the Taylormade Miniature Golden Retriever family.
Breed Ratios: Huxley’s DNA results show perfect Miniature Golden Retriever blend of 58% Golden Retriever, 24.7% Poodle, and 16.5% Cocker Spaniel. We aim for our dogs to be at least 50% Golden Retriever, combined with Cocker Spaniel to lower size and energy. Poodle is included to boost intelligence, reduce shedding, and decrease size as well. Huxley is from C&S Ranch Miniature Golden Retrievers and represents many years of dedicated work and tireless effort in creating and developing this beautiful dog, ensuring not only its physical appearance, but also his temperament and health.
