Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

Whether you already share your home with one of our beautiful Taylormade Miniature Golden Retrievers or you’re hoping to welcome one in the future, we want to take a moment to say thank you. Your love, encouragement, and thoughtful feedback mean more to us than we can ever express. We’re grateful not only for the joys this year has brought, but also for the challenges — each one has stretched us, taught us, and helped us grow into the program we are today.

And today, on Thanksgiving morning of all days, we experienced a little miracle of our own.

Our sweet Jelly delivered two precious baby boys via C-section with the help of our trusted veterinarian. These little gifts arrived safely, warm and wiggly, and we’ve named them Russet and Yukon — a fun nod to the Thanksgiving potatoes that bring so much nourishment and comfort to our tables.

This month, the book Life-Changing Foods by Anthony William was released, and I’ve been savoring every page.

One passage about potatoes struck me deeply:

“Potatoes offer us a foundation and strength when we’re feeling blurred, dizzy, foggy, troubled, or adrift. Potatoes tap into our humble confidence, overwrite toxic emotions that hold us back, help us feel pleased and gratified by our experiences, and guide us to make choices not based on ego but out of true grounding and stability.”

As I read those words, I couldn’t help but smile — because aren’t dogs and puppies just like this?

At birth, they even look like warm little potatoes. But more than that, they bring grounding, steadiness, clarity, and comfort into our lives. They remind us of what truly matters, helping us make choices from love, not ego — from connection, not distraction. That is the true nature of a dog.

So this Thanksgiving, as we count our blessings, my heart is especially full for our dogs and the lessons they continuously teach us. Some days are wild, unpredictable, and full of surprises. Others are peaceful and steady, made softer simply by having a puppy curled close by. Every moment matters. Every lesson is a gift.
